WILL THE MOTION ACTIVATION WORK IF THE UNIT IS TURNED OFF? No. The motion activation only works when the unit is allowed to auto-shutoff.
CAN THE MOTION ACTIVATION FEATURE BE TURNED OFF? Yes. Powering down the red dot manually will disable the motion activation.
